French pastry chef and chocolatier named Best Pastry Chef in the World in 2016 by the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, he was voted the fourth most influential Frenchman in the world by Vanity Fair magazine the same year. He received the insignia of Officer of the Order of Agricultural Merit in 1996, was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor in 2006 before being named Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters for the influence he offers to French gastronomy in 2019.
