In addition to its widely renowned prehispanic inheritance, Colombia has projected itself internationally throughout its artistic and literary expressions. In painting and sculpture we have remarkable artists like Alejandro Obregon, David Manzur, Enrique Grau, Omar Rayo and Fernando Botero; and premium international fairs as the International Art Fair of Bogota (artBo).

In literature, Colombia’s most important author is Gabriel García Márquez, Nobel Prize winner in 1982. Other important writers of our history are Rafael Pombo, Jose Asuncion Silva, Porfirio Barba Jacob, Jorge Isaacs, Gonzalo Arango, Jose Eustasio Rivera and Leon de Greiff.

In fashion design, Colombian creations have reached the most important catwalks of Milan, Berlin, New York, Barcelona and Los Angeles. We also have international events as Colombiamoda, El Círculo de la Moda and Ixel Moda.
